Sir Edgeworth David Memorial Museum - Coalfields History

The Coalfields Local History Association operates a heritage centre, the Sir Edgeworth David Memorial Museum, where rich history and heritage information about the coalfields of the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia, can be found in its library and archives. The Association researches, records, preserves, publishes and teaches its regional history and family history.. 

Researchers are encouraged to visit and use the resources. We welcome new members!

OPENING HOURS

We are open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

We are not open on public holidays.

ANZAC DAY 2022

The Coalfields Local History Association and Towns with Heart again honoured members of our community who served our country in conflicts since Federation with the River of Poppies in the Col Brown Rotary Park, and the Field of Honour in Kurri Kurri General Cemetery in which flags were placed beside each service man or woman's grave.
